Attend the Trainers’ School and become a psyCH Trainer

As a psychology student you learn a lot of theory but how can you use your knowledge in real life?

We offer you an introduction to training techniques and the right tools to work with people in a group setting. During this week, you will gain know-how, learn adult learning models, group management methods, facilitation skills, and even give your first training to a group. The goal of the Trainers’ School is to enable you to grow personally and provide you with the platform to gain practical experience for your professional future. 

What?
After this week you:

  • Can create inspiring learning environments
  • Can activate people’s resources
  • Will have improved your communication and presentation skills
  • Know how to facilitate a discussion and learning in general
  • Have enriched your social competences
  • Can apply your knowledge in different work fields within psychology

We offer you:

  • Useful training techniques
  • A safe learning environment where you can try out things and make mistakes
  • Learning by doing experience
  • Hands-on driven program

How much?
The program is 320.- for psyCH students and 400.- for non-psyCH students (you are a psyCH member if you are studying at one of our member associations). If you’re not sure if you are a psyCH member or not, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Deadline
The application closed on July 24th. However, there are still a few spots left, so you can still apply as long as we have spots left!

Bernoulli Workshop 2020

The Bernoulli Workshops aim to help researchers at the University of Basel to present and discuss their work and establish interdisciplinary collaborations.

The next Bernoulli Workshop will take place Friday, April 3, 2020, at the Naturhistorisches Museum Basel, Augustinergasse 2, 4051 Basel.

The program will be available mid-March.

Informationsabend Masterstudium- Universität Basel

Über 70 Masterstudiengänge und -fächer erwarten Sie in Basel. Das Spektrum reicht von Rechts- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften über Naturwissenschaften, Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften bis hin zu Psychologie, Theologie und interdisziplinären Angeboten.

Am Informationsanlass haben Sie die Möglichkeit, die Masterprogramme der Universität Basel besser kennenzulernen und das für Sie richtige Masterstudium zu finden. Was dabei grundsätzlich zu beachten ist, darüber informiert am Anlass auch die Studienberatung. Zudem finden jeweils rund 30-minütigen Präsentationen der einzelnen Studiengänge und -fächer statt. Einzelne Fächer bieten nach Voranmeldung gerne Sprechstunden an. Am Infomarkt können Sie mit Studierenden und Dozierenden Ihres Wunschmasters ins Gespräch kommen.

Where?
In the wonderful bernese mountains in Därstetten lies a cozy house, simply perfect for our needs! The train station is close to it (within walking distance) and we’ll be surrounded by beautiful
mountains and nature.

When?
During Summer Holidays starting from the 31 st of August ending on the 6 th of September.

How much?
You only have to pay for your bed and food. CHF 320 or CHF 400 if you are not member of psyCH (all swiss psychology students are members except the ones from University of Geneva). This price is all inclusive!

What if there are still Corona restrictions?
We know planning is a little difficult at the moment. Once you applied we will keep you updated about the current situation with the Trainers’ School. We will adjust our Training according to the current directions in Switzerland. And if we have to cancel the Trainers’ School you will get a refund.

Who are we?
From Bachelor to Master Students of Psychology all the way to graduates and professionals from all over Switzerland and Europe, our Trainers’ School team is from a very diverse background.

And very important: Food! Our excellent chefs will be preparing everything handmade and we will offer vegan and vegetarian options. Trust me, no participant has ever been left hungry during the Trainers’ School!
