- Below, you will find all the exciting roles that you could take on within psyCH. As we know, these descriptions alone might not provide you with a sufficient idea of how your time as psyCH-member will look like, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
- When you have some roles in mind that you would like to take on, click on the apply here button and you fill out our online form. It’s totally fine and even recommended to tick more than one role, as we will latter use your answers as a basis to further explore your fit with the roles you are interested in.
- In case you know someone who’s currently studying psychology and would be a great match for one of the following roles, please share it with this person, you would do us a huge favour!
Now we will contact you as soon as possible. We will have a chat about your desired role(s) and you will get answers to all your remaining questions. You will have time to make up your mind and if convinced, we welcome you as new member of our team!
Before we will start with the officially new team for the mandate 2022/23 in September, you will get to know the team. Importantly, your precursor will be your mentor and supporter for this introductory phase and will make you ready for your upcoming tasks. So do not hesitate to apply because you worry that you do not already know everything necessary in advance. you will learn many things throughout your mandate and you will have a supportive team with you!

Executive board
Do you care about the future of psychology students in Switzerland? Would you like to improve your leadership skills? Would you like to build up your professional network? As an executive board team member, you will lead psyCH together with the other executive board members. You will be involved in the decision-making process. Together with coordinators from the psyCH board, you will be responsible for one of the psyCH projects. Internal, as well as external relations, will fall into your responsibilities. Other tasks, such as data security, data management, promoting psyCH and visiting local students’ organisations will await you.
The executive board consits of the following roles:
Are you fascinated with numbers? Do you enjoy to work precisely? Would you like to take the responsibility of making sure psyCH events can take place? The Finance Coordinator is in charge of the finances that support and enable all psyCH projects. This includes taking care of cash accounting and the budget for our projects and the organisation. For the new mandate, psyCH is looking for a smart and motivated Finance Responsible, with a good flair for numbers. You will get the chance to gain new knowledge about the monetary procedures in a national organisation. You are coordinating all the psyCH projects together with the other members from the executive board. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Sponsoring coordinators work in a team of motivated people.
Are you a skilled communicator and would you like to be the one who`s coordinating psyCH`s communication-projects? Besides working closely with the other executive board members, as head of communication you will lead and support three positions within psyCH: The blog-team coordinator, the webmaster and the editor and promotion coordinator. You will decide together with those members how psyCH presents itself through our media services to all psychology students and you make sure important informations flow smoothly to the public.
Would you like to improve your leadership skills? Would you like to build up your professional network? Do you enjoy bringing people together? Are you interested in promoting growth within yourself and others? You work closely together with the head of trainer’s school and the trainer coordinator and are responsible for efficient and smooth collaboration. Furthermore, he or she nominates the trainers’ coordinator and is cooperating closely with him or her, also to organise the needs of the trainers’ team. Together with the training coordinator, you are taking care of the psyCH trainers’ community, which holds the active trainers’ school graduates.
Do you enjoy networking? Are you curious about other psychology students and organizations in other parts of Switzerland or Europe? You are the link between students, professional associations and the student associations at national and international level. Your job is to bring psychology students and organizations closer together. You are working together with the Event coordinator as well as the Member representative (MR) and vice MR. You will get to organize numerous smaller events throughout the mandate. This might include a mini-conference about a certain topic, an event for the mental health awareness day, other events to discuss psychology relevant topics, a psyCH party, trainers’ meeting (TRAM) for your trainers community, or whatever you feel up to.

As blog-team coordinator, you will work in a motivated team of writers (the blog-team) which you will lead and coordinate. You will be blogging, writing, informing and reporting about different topics concerning psychology and its studies, with a focus on Switzerland. This may include summarising the latest science and papers, informing about up-to-date student life, current situations or innovations at the different universities, checking out future job perspectives, etc.

Would you like to share your passion for psychology with other psychology students? Do you enjoy planning and organizing events? The psyKo is the national congress for psychology students. The main objective of this congress is to provide an interactive platform that allows students to present their own work in the field of psychology as well as to visit workshops and lectures by professional psychologists. Furthermore, it allows students to interact and connect with fellow psychology students as well as professional psychologists outside of the traditional academic context. For the upcoming mandate, psyCH is looking for two highly motivated people who organise the 17th psyKo. As head of psyKo you are in charge to lead all the volunteers. You get the chance to create contacts not only with students from all over Switzerland but also with professional speakers in the field of psychology you are interested in.
Do you enjoy bringing people together? Are you interested in promoting growth within yourself and others? The head of psyCH trainers’ school is responsible for the planning and realisation of the psyCH trainers’ school, which should take place during the semester break either in the winter or summer 2020/21. He or she is in charge of nominating an organisational team, to book a venue, promote the trainers’ school within Switzerland’s psychology students, organize the sponsoring and taking care of the kitchen during the four days. Furthermore, he or she nominates the trainers’ coordinator and is cooperating closely with him or her, also to organise the needs of the trainers’ team.
Are you interested in fostering learning within others? Would you like for psychology students to experience psychology outside of the academic context? psyCH has its training network with trainers offering sessions about a vast amount of topics (e.g. stress management trainings, team building trainings, goal setting trainings etc.) The training coordinator is taking care of the psyCH trainers’ community, which holds the active trainers’ school graduates. For them, new offers have to be organised and information about ongoing training events has to be forwarded. The training coordinator is also in charge of inquiries and questions about the local organisation. In that case, information has to be forwarded and matching trainers of the pool have to be found for the request. Additionally, coming together with all the psyCH-trainers can be organised.
Do you enjoy planning and organizing events? Would you like to offer valuable events for psychology students in Switzerland? As event coordinator, you will get to organize numerous smaller events throughout the mandate. This might include a mini-conference about a certain topic, an event for the mental health awareness day, other events to discuss psychology relevant topics, a psyCH party, trainers’ meeting (TRAM) for your trainers community, or whatever you feel up to. You will get the chance to gain skills in the field of event management and event design, will be in touch with numerous associations (students associations as well as professional associations) and will be working together with other teams (e.g. sponsoring team). Your job is to bring psychology students closer together, as well as closer to their dreams while spreading some psyCH spirit.
Are you interested in meeting new people (especially professional psychologists)? Do you enjoy working in a team? Are you interested in gaining experience with fundraising? The sponsoring team is responsible for raising money to support and enable all psyCH projects. This includes taking care of the relations with long-time partners and even more challenging and exciting the acquiring of new sponsors. Apart from that new ideas of sponsoring related projects are welcome. For the new mandate, psyCH is looking for two smart and clever students! You get the chance to establish a network with professionals from institutes in the field of psychology and to work in a team of motivated people.
Do you enjoy being creative (e.g. writing, designing, filming etc.)? Would you like to get involved in different events? The editor and promotion coordinator is responsible for the printed and multimedia appearance of psyCH. This includes taking care of our appearance on our webpage, as well as our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Additionally, you will be releasing a monthly newsletter to keep everybody updated. Apart from that, new ideas for media appearance-related projects are welcome. Furthermore, the editor and promotion coordinator is in charge of promotion campaigns at Switzerland’s Universities.
Are you interested in networking and online services? Do you enjoy learning new skills? As psyCH webmaster, you will be maintaining our main online service, our webpage ( www.psynet.ch), where you also keep our internship platform psyPra updated. Additionally, you support us with our email accounts, our newsletter portal, our Facebook page and our Instagram account. You will be working closely together with the editor & promotion coordinator to make sure that psyCH is well represented. In other words, you will take care of our appearance to the outworlds and will coordinate technical questions together with our web hosts.
Do you enjoy networking? Are you curious about other psychology students in Europe? EFPSA Member Representatives (MRs) are individuals who represent each of the Member Organisations within EFPSA. As MR you will be representing psyCH on an European level. A lot of international events for psychology students will be awaiting you. But most importantly, you will be the bridge between psyCH and EFPSA. This includes promoting EFPSA event within the psyCH community and amongst Swiss psychology students, as well as expressing psyCH’s needs on an international level (for example, during the General Assemblies of the EFPSA congress). Do you enjoy networking? Are you curious about other psychology students in Europe? Many Member Organisations also have a Vice-MR – who supports and contributes to the work of their MR. This usually means helping promote EFPSA within Switzerland, attending monthly Vice MR meetings, attending international EFPSA events and a lot of other fun things.
